Polyurea Development Association Europe hosts first annual conference
Companies wanting to find out about the very latest developments in the polyurea industry should register to attend the first Polyurea Development Association (PDA Europe) annual conference. The event, named “Developing the European Polyurea Market Together”, will take place from 14-16th November at the Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.
The conference agenda, which includes presentations, educational courses and live demonstrations, will highlight the benefits of specifying polyurea systems for a range of applications. The three day conference will also give attendees the opportunity to network with leading international industry representatives and help shape the future of the polyurea industry in Europe.
Conference highlights will include a live polyurea spray demonstration by Flexguard, De Neef Conchem and Graco. (Friday 16th November, 12:00 – 14:00)
A ‘Walk the Talk’ presentation will be given by Huntsman on the ISOPA* initiative launched to promote improved health and safety standards across the polyurethane industry by raising awareness and increasing understanding of best practice when handling potentially hazardous chemicals. The presentation will demonstrate how companies are adopting a powerful ‘one-voice’ approach to introducing the initiative to industry; plus highlight why its success is dependent on the active participation of all users of hazardous chemicals. A presentation on REACH will also be given by a keynote speaker from Albemarle. REACH will drastically change the relationship between all businesses within the supply chain. The presentation will look at how REACH will affect these organisations and address a number of issues and questions including what are the risks and opportunities, how are they identified, what channels fulfil regulation duties and what will REACH mean for global and European organisations. The conference agenda also includes a selection of educational sessions designed to provide a taster of the professional courses PDA Europe will be launching in the near future.
